GOOSE CREEK, SC - In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Edward Davis 69, of Goose Creek, SC who entered into rest on Saturday, November 22, 2014.

“To everything there is a season, a time to be born, and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to pluck up which was planted”

Eugene Edward Heyward Davis was born December 13, 1944. He was the seventh of twelve children, and was born and raised in North Charleston. He was the son of Elizabeth Heyward and raised by Mr. & Mrs. Edward Davis in the Union Heights area. He was educated in the public schools of Charleston County. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1969 and served in the Vietnam War. Edward retuned home in 1975 and operated a small sweet shop where he sold school supplies, candy, sodas, and several other items. He was well known in the area where he lived and had a great sense of humor and many called him a “ladies man”. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. He is survived by his sisters Patricia Sanders, Albertha White, Susan Poole, and Alyce Shivers. His brothers Kenneth Connor, Herman Whitney, Larry Whitney, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
