NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of The Serenity Mortuary announce the passing of Mrs. Virginia Irene James, 85 of North Charleston, SC., who entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Lowcountry Community Hospice House, Summerville, SC. Mrs. James is the widow of Mr. Alex Zander James.

On August 27, 2022, Virginia was called to her eternal home to be with the Lord.

Virginia attended the Columbus County School System, she graduated from Central High School, in Whiteville, NC
A Time To Marry
Virginia was united in holy matrimony to Alex on December 2, 1955, they shared 65 Loving years together. From this union they were Blessed with 3 children Donald, Ramona, and Kimmi. Their daughter Ramona preceded them in death.
A Time To Work
Virginia was Executive Director of Environmental Services for over 40years She worked at Trident Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Hospital & MUSC. She retired from Trident Regional Medical Center, & MUSC.
A Time To Worship
Virginia was baptized at Marlboro Missionary Baptist Church in Killeen, TX where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord & Savior. She was a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful member until her health failed
A Time To Love
Virginia leaves to cherish many loving memories her son Donald Bacolod City, Philippines, her daughter Kimmi of the home, 2 grandsons Nakia (Sonya) Moncks Corner, SC, Sean (Tiana) Altamonte Springs, Fl, 9 great grands Miracle, Earl, Carrington, Anson, Messyah, Merci, Asher, Ahmad, Karter 1 great great grand Khaleesi, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & Friends.
