She is the daughter of the late Walter and Annie Mae Howell and wife of Robert "Dewey" Turner, the mother of Eric (Uylese) Howell, Robert Howell, Anquinetta Turner, Vernon and Lorenzo Turner, she is the sister of Sharmaine Howell, Theresa H. Winder, Minister Walter (Robin) Howell, Gracie H. (Harold) Baylock and William Howell, she is the stepdaughter of Lorenzo Washington, Sr., the stepsister of Lorenzo Washington, Jr., and the God sister of Walter White.
