“My little children let us not love in word, neither tongue;
but in deed and truth” KJV 1st John 3:18
Ralph Richardson Jr., the son of the late Florence Frazier Richardson and the late Ralph Richardson, Sr., was born October 18, 1957, at MUSC Hospital in Charleston, SC. Ralph spent most of his life in the home of his parents and was loved dearly. Upon the death of his devoted mother in 1984, he later relocated and was lovingly cared for by his maternal aunts, Julia Ann Frazier and Lillie Mae Riley with God’s grace and mercy.
Ralphie never lost the ability to show love, and his smile endured no matter where he went. Ralphie was able to adapt and communicate with his loved ones in his own way. The prognosis given to his parents was that because of the high fever he encountered with meningitis, he would probably not live to see his sixth (6th) birthday. Our heavenly Father chose his own time and his own way. Ralphie lived to be sixty-six (66) years old and was never a burden to his family.
Ralphie left a lasting impression on our entire family with his determination and his will to show love. Caring for him united the family and was passed on to the next generation. One of his aunts refers to Ralphie as the glue of love God sent to hold us together.
On February 10, 2024, at 4:32 AM Ralph "Ralphie" Richardson, Jr., entered into eternal rest and left his earthy home for his eternal home. Ralphie joined his beloved parents, his maternal grandparents Sandy and Viola Smalls Frazier, his parental grandparents Rebecca Brown and Bennie Gladden, four (4) aunts, five (5) uncles, maternal great-grandparents Daniel Smalls and Lucy Todd Smalls, Sandy Frazier Sr. and Mary Chavis Frazier.
Ralphie leaves to cherish his memory his beloved brother Sandy Richardson, his niece Cleon Leggett and grandniece J'Nyaah, his devoted aunts whom he called Mama, Julia Ann Frazier, Lillie Mae (Robert, Sr.) Riley, Jacqueline Hill, Rosa Fergerson, Sylvia Blake, and Eva Seabrook and his uncle Eugene Frazier, Sr., special family friend, Jacqueline Anderson, a host of close cousins who took the time to visit and help with his care, and other relatives and family friends who care deeply for him.
We will forever cherish the memories of the love that Ralphie showed us. He will be missed immensely.
