Mr. Patrick O'Riley Green

CHARLESON, SC- In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of The Serenity Mortuary announce the passing of Mr.Patrick O'Riley Green, 45 of Charleston, SC., who entered into eternal rest on Friday morning August 13, 2021, in Charleston. Mr. Green is the husband of Cherisse Green.

Family will be receiving guests at 2 Rice Court from 5pm-8pm on Friday evening.

Life Reflections 

Patrick O’Riley Green, the son of Ms. Helen Green and Mr. Abraham Simmons was born December 25, 1975, in Charleston, South Carolina.   

Affectionately called by many different names by family and friends, his educational journey began in the private school at Cathedral School.  He continued his learning experience in the public school system of Charleston County where he graduated from the Academic Magnet High then located on Burke High campus in the city of Charleston.  Patrick was a member of Morris Brown AME church. 

Upon graduation, he enrolled into classes on the campus of the College of Charleston.  There he successfully completed two years of college credit hours.  Later in his life he became a student at Trident Technical College seeking a degree in Logistics and Management.   

He further advanced his career path and obtained his certification as a pharmacy technician. Patrick was the operator and owner of Green’s Courier Service which he was successfully independent for many years.   

Patrick took his skills and knowledge of the pharmacy industry to Medical University of SC and concluded that field of work at OptionCare, Inc in Mt. Pleasant. SC. 

In January 2015, after not seeing each other in over 20 years, Patrick reconnected and reunited his friendship with the former Cherisse King, whom he married in November 2017. 

Patrick enjoyed music and spending time with his many friends and family.  As all would know, he found a very comfortable space being the center and the life of the party. 

On Friday August 13, 2021, the call was made, the orders were given, and Patrick accepted that his journey on earth was completed. 

He is survived by his parents, his loving wife of three years, Cherisse Green, his children, Shiloh Green, Kameron Green, Ryleigh Green (mother Nicole Frazier) and Khaivon Williams-Green (mother Sheniqua Williams), his sisters Ida aka Liz, Sonia, Nikki, Shon, Candace, brothers Terrance, Remus , Best friends (brothers) Lamar Williams and Kevin Henderson, Aunt Jackie Green, Uncles Chubby and Johnny , granddaughter Lois and a host of other relatives and friends.
