Mr. Michael Anthony Cook, Sr.

SUMMERVILLE, SC - In profound sorrow the Cook Family announces the passing of their beloved Mr. Michael Anthony Cook, Sr., 55 of Summerville, SC., who entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at his residence.

Michael’s Journey…

Michael Anthony Cook Sr. was born September 27, 1964, to the late Mr. Randolph and Victoria Cook Sr.  He was preceded in death by his brothers Mr. Randolph “Bubba” Cook Jr., Mr. Kenneth L. Cook, and Mr. Rodney L. “Fugi” Cook.  He made his heavenly transition on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at his residence.

Michael was educated in Dorchester County Schools, graduating from Summerville High School in 1983.  Just like his older brothers, he joined in the family business and became a valuable employee of Cook Construction.  Working alongside his father, brothers, and cousins Michael became a well skilled and knowledgeable brick mason who bricked many beautiful homes and public buildings which can still be seen in Summerville and the TriCounty area. He continued with this passion of brick masonry up until his death.

 Michael loved God and his family with all his heart.  Through good and bad times, his love never failed or diminished.  Even with all the beautiful buildings he bricked throughout the years, Michael’s biggest accomplishments are his three children.  Michael Jr. (Lil Mike), Devin, and Jasmine are his best creations that he treasured deeply and unconditionally.  Because of this love, Michael will always be cherished.

His precious memories will always be remembered by his loving sons Mr. Michael A. Cook Jr., Mr. Devin Cook, and daughter Ms. Jasmine Cook; granddaughter Miss Kyleigh Zuriah Cook; siblings Mrs. Joyce (Benjamin) Grant, Mr. Larry (Doris) Cook, Ms. Althea Cook, and Ms. Linda Cook; sister in law Mrs. Gwendolyn Cook; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other loved ones.
