Bishop Orin S. Gregg, Sr. Obituary (1941

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Bishop Orin S. Gregg, Sr., 78 of North Charleston, SC., who entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at his residence. Bishop Gregg is the beloved husband of Mother Oree Gregg. Bishop Gregg is the pastor of Friendship True Bibleway Church #1, Summerville, SC. Bishop Gregg was born on Dec 12, 1941 in Summerville, SC a son of the late Bishop Walter L. Gregg, Sr and Lucille Bell Gregg. Bishop Gregg grew up in Summerville, SC and graduated from Alston High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Counseling from Carolina Theological Bible Institute in 2007. He later received his Master's Degree in 2009 and an Honorary Doctorate. Bishop Gregg retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard after 21 years as a tool and die maker. He was called to the ministry in 1987. Bishop Gregg became Pastor of Friendship True Bibleway #1 in 1992. His dedication and perseverance let to his ordination and consecration to Bishop on February 23, 2008. Survivors include his devoted wife of 56 years Mother Oree Gregg, four children, Lucinda (Anthony) Reynolds, Orin (Toshiko) Gregg Jr., Michael Gregg and Stephanie (Kelvin) Harris. Siblings James Gregg, Angie Gregg, Leon (Betty) Gregg, Annette Gregg, Cornelius (Sharon) Gregg, Kenneth (Ida) Gregg and Jeanette Gregg. His mother-in-law; Mary Griffin. He was predeceased by his parents, Bishop Walter Gregg Sr and Mother Lucille Gregg and siblings Elizabeth Gregg, Walter L. Gregg Jr and John Gregg. Bishop Gregg was blessed with nine grandchildren and one great grand. He is also survived by his loving church family, in laws and a host of other family and friends As Bishop Gregg taught us "The walk in your walk must match the walk in your talk".
