Mr. Laron Charles Fleming, I Obituary

SUMMERVILLE, SC - In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Laron Charles Fleming, I., 63 of Summerville, SC., who entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 9, 2019 at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, Charleston, SC. Mr. Fleming is a retired US Navy Veteran and the husband of Mrs. Bendetta Gaines Fleming.

Laron Charles Fleming was born in the home of his grandmother in Headland Alabama on November 4th, 1956. His mother Patricia Ann Glover-Jackson and Father James Jackson raised Laron, being their only child (with special little brothers Leroy Bowers and Cedric Dean). Since a boy Laron always has sense of ambition and independence. By the time Laron was 16 years old he purchased his first car, on his own, a '55 Chevrolet. Laron graduated a Ram from Headland Highschool and knew his path led to the Navy. Without hesitation, at 18 years old he joined the military where he traveled the world, served in The Gulf War where he spent months on the Red Sea and met the love of his life, best friend, and wife Bendetta (Deenie) in Charleston, SC. Laron spent the most time on the ship named the USS John Rogers touring many countries including the Philippines where he started his own business, Iceland, Egypt, Asia, and Europe to name a few. In 1995 Laron retired from the Navy ranked E7 Chief Petty Officer serving over 20 years in the line of service for his country. Laron wore many hats during and following his years in service, from owning his own businesses, to be the Sheriff of headland Alabama and ultimately working his way up to be the lieutenant of home defense under Allied Universal where he gained a new family. Laron was baptized into Christ for the remission of sins and spent his time in reverence and dedication to God carrying out the great commission of Christ and spreading the gospel Whether it was door to door bible studies, teaching at Sunday worship service or running the boards at the radio station "Let the Bible Speak", Laron was determined to redeem the time in adherence to God's word. I Tim 5:8 "but if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever" Laron's dedication to his family was unlike any other, a superhero in his wife's, children's, parents, and grandchildren's eyes. He was a member of Church Belonging of Christ in the Low Country, 100 Lumber Lane, Goose Creek, SC 29445.Laron's generosity, lessons, reliability, comedic antidote’s and witty mannerisms were loved, and will be remembered by all who were blessed to have known him. Laron is survived by his 6 children , Latranto (Tran) Charles Fleming I ( grandchildren Latranto Charles Fleming II, Christopher Michael Fleming, Latristan Charles Fleming), Lacita Nicole Fleming, Shymekia lasha Fleming -Lemon (husband Keith Lemon) Shannon Re'nee Smalls, Laron Charles .Fleming II, and Denetria Semoine Fleming (who is born on her father's birthday).
