Eugene "Bubba" Bolger Obituary

RIDGEVILLE, SC - In profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Eugene "Bubba" Bolger, 83 of Ridgeville, SC., who entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at a local hospital. Mr. Bolger is a former truck driver with Westvaco Lumber and the widower of Mrs. Rosa King Bolger.

“Another soldier gone

To get a great reward

He kept the fauth as he fought the fight

And now he has gone home to God”

On October 17, 2019 at Roper Saint Francis Hospital, 6:00 pm, the angel of death bore the spirit of Eugene “Bubba” Bolger to a sin free land, a land where all is peace, where there is no sickness or sorrow, where there is no death and pain. Death did not alarm Bubba as he had been looking forward to it since his conversion. He joined the church at an early age and accepted Christ as his personal savior, where he was a faithful member until his health failed and now death. He was an active and courageous member. He was not afraid to speak up for what he believed no matter who was against him.

He was a good provider for his home and family. Bubba was a good and peaceful neighbor who never met a stranger near or far. He was a person who drew people to him because of his smile that radiated love, friendliness, good will and fellowship.

We feel that he is now resting on the promises of God.

He was born in Dorchester County on October 1, 1936, to the late Eugene Sr. and Vera Bolger.

Eugene attended Clay Hill Elementary School and graduated from Kennedy High School in Harleyville, South Carolina.

Eugene was a retired avid and superior truck driver for thirty years for WESTVACO(LUMBER) Division currently WESTROCK IN Summerville S.C traveling far and near with a CB Handle known as "Rhinestone Cowboy".

Eugene was a loving father and husband of the late Rosa K. Bolger who preceded him in death. He was a loving and super grandfather who saw no wrong in his eye sight when it came to his grandchildren.

Those he will always cherish: His loving daughters: Ms. Audrey Bolger (Marvin) and Minister Taffany Bolger Pringle (Marlo) both of Summerville, South Carolina; Mrs. Marilyn Lee (Timothy) of Ridgeville, South Carolina.
