Harry's Life Reflections

"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven!"

~Ecclesiastes 3:1

A Time to be Born ...

The late Mr. John Henry Clemons and Ms. Roberta Campbell were truly blessed with their son, Harry Campbell born on January 1, 1963, in Yonkers, New York. Harry was affectionately nicknamed "Spunky."

A Time to Die ...

God, in his infinite wisdom saw that one of his very own was getting weary. So, He wrapped His arms around him and whispered, "Come to me and I'll give you rest." Harry answered the calling, transitioning from his earthy life to eternal life on April 8, 2024, in his home in North Charleston.

A Time To Live ...

Harry (Spunky) was educated in the Yonkers, New York school system and earned his GED from the Job Corp in Buffalo, New York. Upon graduating from the Job Corp, he returned to Yonkers. Harry relocated to South Carolina in 1984 and remained a resident. He worked in the electrical field as an electrician for over 35 years. His career allowed him to work for some of the most prestigious electrical companies in the Southeast while continuing to learn the trade and prefect his skills. While employed at Eldeco Electrical Incorporation and under the supervision of Mr. John Theriot, Harry worked hard and learned all he could. He received many certificates for continued education in Electrical Work Training, OSHA Training, and Safety while employed at Eldeco Electrical Incorporation. As time went on he earned the respect as a skilled electrician and was promoted to lead with his own crew. Harry's knowledge and skills earned him a big promotion and he became the first African American Superintendent at Eldeco's Charleston Corporation. Harry was very proud to be a part of the electrical team that completed the job for the Boeing Company. He considered this one of his many career accomplishments. After years working at Eldeco Harry had an opportunity/offer to work for Boeing he couldn't refuse. While employed at Boeing he received several awards and was recognized for his exceptional performance. Harry was a visionary, a natural leader, ambitious and a freethinker. He felt things strongly and his rich intense inner life radiates outward, and his excellent work ethic made him do his job with high amounts of energy. Harry worked for Boeing until his sudden illness.

A Time To Love

Love ....

Recognizes no barriers. It Jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.

If you find it in your heart to care for somebody else, you will have succeeded.

- Maya Angelou-

Harry met, fell in love, and married his soulmate Burnett G. Bryant. Burnett was his Partner in Life and Love. The couple shared 15 beautiful years of Holy Matrimony and wonderful memories together. They enjoyed spending time with his mother, his late mother-in-law, their daughter, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Harry and Burnett prayed together and always gave GOD the Honor, the Glory and all the Praises for their blessings. Harry wasn't a regular church goer, but he knew his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On this milestone in his life, Harry felt that he was blessed to have found his soulmate and experience the love that many have dreamed of, but few have shared, the beauty of God's gift of enduring love. Harry believed whatever future years may hold, one thing will still be true --- Life's greatest gift will always be to have found love and be loved.

A Time To Explore

"I Have Traveled Many Places and Seen Many Smiling Faces"

We can do no great things only small things with great love. With God's blessing and prosperity Harry was afforded the opportunity to explore and be adventurous. Harry always wanted to travel and go to other countries. He was always interested in different cultures and would often dream of visiting faraway places as a younger man. With God blessings and grace, Harry and his wife become world travelers. Their travels took them on countless cruises and places he never thought possible (Australia, Argentina, Dubai, Greece, Italy, Rome, China, Japan, Aruba, Jamacia, and Mexico). Harry was always in search of what was interesting or true facts. He was very perceptive, intellectual, mysterious at times, analytical, and loved to show off his skills. No matter where his travels took him, his eyes, personality, and magnetic charm always attracted people.

A Time To Be Blessed

The birth of his daughter and seeing her grow up and become a woman. Harry was thankful that God spared his life to see his grandchildren and be a positive role model for them. He always encouraged them to do their best. Harry was a strong yet loving partner who believed in family. He felt it was an honor to be able to take care of his family. Harry was grateful and thanked God for allowing him to be able to enjoy and have some of the finer things in life. Harry was Joyful in Hope, Patient in Affliction, and Faithful in Prayer. His greatest Blessing was God's Grace and Mercy.
